Music News Part Dos

by Cristhian Bedon on February 18, 2009

In my previous post, I started talking about how 50 Cent is getting on Rick Ross and how Ludacris is helping out upcoming video editors. In this post, I’ll update on 50 Cent and his pursuit on Ross.

50 Vs Ross

Now you would think after a while 50 would get bored and just drop this, but no – he goes out there and makes two more episodes aiming at Ross. Apart from that he goes and make a diss towards DJ Khaled. 50 getting out all his anger here it seems

His second video, entitled “Pimpin’ Curly” hasn’t got much that screams “oooh, Fif getting at Ross” but it seems more of a way to breaking in a new character for future episodes.

Now this 3rd video, entitled Officer Ricky Everyone Hates Chris. He goes at a few people here, apart from Ross and Khaled, he is getting on the recent events from Chris Brown and Rihanna, and not to be left out he goes at Fat Joe also.

50 also managed to make a video on this diss song “I’ll be the shooter“, he seems to be in a rush to end Ross.

So far those are the “attacks” made from 50, now Ross tried to make a come back at him – with a cartoon video but I think it came out all wrong. It doesn’t seem to have that “funny” that 50 video’s have. I’ll let you be the judge in that.

Now the only thing that seems he is planning on getting out a tape same day as 50, he says more on this here.

Rick Ross, the Miami, self proclaimed ‘Boss’, is stepping up the stakes this month when he will be releasing a mixtape with the same name as 50 Cent’s upcoming LP, ‘Before I Self Destruct’. The results of doing this could indeed mess up the promotional plans for Fiddy’s team, as they would both bear the same title and cause confusion for some unfamiliar with the ongoing beef between the two. Ross has just finished up production on the mixtape so it should be available soon.

To me his is like a Kayne Vs. 50 situation all over, or it could be a 50 VS Ja-Rule – this time all by himself.

What others need to say

The only person that spoke on this was Russel Simons.

Russell Simmons also had some words to say about this too and they were very similar. “If it’s like pro wrestling, if that’s how they view themselves, then it’s part of the entertainment,” Simmons said. “It’s not something I would advise still. I always like to play high notes. I’ve gotten older. I see that is usually where I’ve had the longest, most stable impression — doing something that’s higher and more inspired. There’s a lot of talks about the beefs that’s going on, particularly the 50 Cent [vs. Rick Ross feud]. They’re both very talented. Neither one of them needs that to be hot. … It’s always a little edgy. I worry about them. I haven’t gotten involved. I hope they settle it, and it goes away.”

50 vs DJ Khaled

He(50 cent) went out to Khaled’s mom job and record her, not just working but sleeping.

Lloyd Banks VS. Ross

Looks like 50 isn’t getting at him alone, Lloyd drop a few bars on him, he basically out lined his name. Ah seems like they are out to get Ross.

Moving on to the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation.

Chris Brown, issued and official statement this weekend:

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired,” the statement reads. “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.

“Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong,” the statement continues. “While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

Also another person that made a comment on this situation was Jay-Z, during this All Star Weekend.

“It’s not a sound bite, this is a real situation,” Jay told reporters in Arizona. “If you can’t have compassion for others … just imagine it being your sister or your mom or someone like that, then think about how you should talk about that.

“I just think we all should just support her,” he continued. “She’s going through a tough time. You gotta realize she’s a young girl, as well. She’s very young.”

Chris Brown was spiraling up in his career, I would what kind of bump this will get him now.

T.I also made statements on this, the first statement – he says he might of jumped the gun with.

“I told him this too shall pass…Hey man, you people gotta remember, we celebrities and we entertainers but we still human. All of us.” TI told Carson Daily last week.

Now T.I. says “After careful consideration I realized I made the mistake of commenting before understanding the situation. I myself am no stranger to media scrutiny. My only intention was to support both Rihanna and Chris during these times.”

To end on a happy note once again. A nice video from this weekend’s All Star Game.
