A reason to most is to blog so they are able to make money. But there was a poll done at problogger. It has shown that it came close, while blogging people figured they can make some extra change for the keys that the pressed.

Each person has a different reason as why they choose to blog. Some just want to give out information, some find it a good way to get some of their talent out and try to compensate for it, while others try to help others with this about different subjects, like for people needing to convert pdf to jpg so they offer tools online for this. For me, blogging is a new thing, in the future I might blog “fulltime”, but I don’t see it happening. This is more of a way for me to do a personal brand, and to show people my work. At the most, I would like to make a few bucks, “to buy that cup of coffee” per say.
